Howard Robbins is now one of the most popular Toastmasters in the UK.
In 2004, Howard celebrates 30 years as a Toastmaster and has officiated at many different types of occasion. He has worked at functions with 20 guests and others with over 2000, from small family gatherings and weddings, to huge corporate and charity celebrations.
In the 1980's, he also took on the position as a Banqueting Manager at a top Hotel in Essex. Being responsible for 60 bedrooms and 3 luxurious Banqueting Suites means that his knowledge of this business is exceptional.
In 1989, he chose to become a full-time professional Toastmaster and was elected a member of the "National Association of Toastmasters", having passed through a strict entrance examination. He was elevated to Fellowship of the N.A.T. in 1995, and in November 1999 was elected Vice President for the Association - a tremedous achievement. In 2002 he was proud and honoured to be elected as The President of The National Association of Toastmasters.
He has travelled throughout London and Great Britain, officiating at many of the leading Hotels and Banqueting Rooms and with many personalities and celebrities in the world of politics and show business.
In 1994, he officiated at the United Kingdom Police Officer of the Year Awards Dinner, and was seen by millions on the National News broadcasts introducing the Prime Minister, John Major.
Howard was the Toastmaster when the Georgetown University Alumni Association, from Washington D.C., held their annual function at the Grovesnor House Hotel in London. Following this, he was engaged to officiate at the 1995 event, held at the Westin Hotel, in Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A. making him the first ever British Toastmaster to officiate at a function there.
